Lezhe Municipality is implementing the project “Improvement of road infrastructure for pedestrians and bicycles in the village of Ishull Lezhe” within the Grant Scheme for Regional Development and Cohesion financed by the Swiss and Austrian governments, implemented by the Albanian Regional Development Program and the Albanian Development Fund . The project aims to promote tourism potential through the improvement of the easy infrastructure for bicycles and pedestrians in the village of Ishull Lezhë, increasing the accessibility for bicycles and pedestrians in the tourist area of the village of Ishull Lezhë through the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
The main activities of the project are:
- Construction of a pedestrian and bicycle path with a length of 2.5 km up to the connection with the pedestrian and bicycle path in the Kune-Vain Protected Area. This road will provide safe movement access and will increase the number of visitors to the area and local and foreign tourists.
- Creation of a website “Getting to know Lezha Island”. This page will serve to inform citizens more about the village of Ishull Lezhë for the promotion of natural resources, the entertainment opportunities it offers, information about the gastronomy of the area, promotion of businesses, etc.
