Coordination meeting with RDPA key counterparts

The RDPA conducted a coordination meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister Ms. Senida Mesi, the Ambassador of Switzerland in Albania, H.E Mr. Christoph Graf, and key experts of the Programme.
The meeting served to discuss the current approach towards the Regional Development Programme in Albania, focusing on the coordination with the Government of Albania regarding regional development priorities and the steps to be taken. This will ensure successful cooperation and tangible results with regard to the beneficiaries of the Programme.
RDPA is already in its third phase and foresees technical assistance in support of coherent and sustainable policy making for regional development of Albania, establishment and consolidation of grant mechanisms based on the EU principles and rules, and institutional capacity building at central and regional level.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the future path of RDPA and build mutual understanding and cooperation between the main partners. Deputy Prime Minister Ms. Senida Mesi stressed during the meeting that thanks to its systematic and consistent approach, the RDPA will strongly contribute to building administrative capacities of Albanian institutions at central and regional level.
