Valeria VALERI holds the position of Regional Development Projects and Grants Manager

Mrs. Valeri is a regional economist with over 25 years multi-country experience in programming and financial management of Operational Programmes, schemes and investment projects financed under State budget and EU pre-accession and structural funds. A former staff of Finlombarda, the Public Financial Agency of Lombardy Regional Government in Italy, Valeri holds a Master Degree in Economics and Business Management from Bocconi University of Milan.

Her most recent experience includes serving since 2014 as Long-Term Project Manager under the EU-IPA Western Balkans Investment Framework facility aiming to connect projects with finance through preparation and/or quality assessment of feasibility studies.  From 2010 to 2017 she has also provided assistance to Coatian Operating Structures, Managing Authorities, Intermediate Bodies and Mandated Bodies for EU Financial Instruments, in the design and delivery of measures and projects under the Operational Programmes for Competitiveness and Cohesion 2007-2013 and 2014-2020, with direct support to the transition from EU instruments for pre-accession to European Structural and Investment Funds.  Previosly for over 15 years, Valeri worked in Romania where she contributed to the first regional development law and the establishment and development of the eight Regional Development Agencies.

She served for two subsequent mandates as EU Resident Twinning Advisor for EU Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments, as well as Fund Manager for a 33 million euro grant scheme for regional development funded by the European Union. Valeri is certified as Project Manager, Public Procurement Expert and Trainer.
