Zenel BAJRAMI

Zenel BAJRAMI holds the position of Expert on Regional Development Support in RDPA.

He completed his bachelor studies in City and Regional Planning Department, at Middle East Technical University, Turkey. His further education qualifications include areas such as town planning and landscape, in University of Manchester, UK; land management instruments in IHS, Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies, at Erasmus University Rotterdam in Nederland; and urban environmental management in Polis University, Tirana.

His technical expertise and management experience, conducted in projects related to comprehensive territorial planning, master planning, city development strategies, territorial governance, urban and rural territorial information systems and database building, real estate market, environmental management, sustainable public transportation planning, local economic development, tourism destination management, participatory planning, have played a huge role in his background to further develop his capacities in local socio-economic and regional development.

Working for Co-PLAN since 2011, where he engages in several projects concerned with the application of the new legislation on territorial planning. Played a substantial role in the preparation of the general local territorial plans for a number of municipalities in the country financed by the Albanian Government and international donors in the sector. He is a lecturer at POLIS University on subjects such as regional and urban developing strategies, financial instruments for land development and urban design legislation. His interests include: CB and feasibility analysis; territorial and socio-economic impact of national and local development strategies; ICT and GIS in spatial planning, etc. Zenel, co-authored several publications focusing on spatial planning and technical manuals for Albanian territorial planning and land development legislation.
