Training on “Grants Management Cycle”

In the process of capacity building for Regional Development Agencies, RDPA conducted in Tirana the 2-days training on “Grants Management Cycle”.

The objective of this workshop was to discuss grants as an instrument in the context of the EU Cohesion Policy and the EU pre-accession process, by introducing the relevant legal framework, terminology, functions (processes) and procedures. Participants from Regional Development Agencies had an opportunity to consider the preparation and management of grant schemes in Albania, including through a case study from international good practice.

Special focus was also given to the pilot RDPA grant scheme through its key elements, actors, steps, documents and potential  issues. The perspective, role and functions of Regional Development Agencies in the implementation of the envisaged pilot RDPA grant scheme was another subject that was examined.

Representatives from Regional Development Agencies of Shkodra, Vlora, Korca and Tirana actively participated in exercises and brainstorming and  shared their opinions on the different topics debated during the workshop
